It is important to nurture one’s physical side for overall wellness. This includes maintaining an
active lifestyle, eating well, and sleeping well. When you balance your physical health you will live
having optimal energy and strength.
There are various signs of having an imbalance in one’s physical quadrant,
including insomnia, loss of appetite or overeating, jumpiness, and experiencing frequent illness. When your
physical quadrant is balanced with the other quadrants, you will feel your best.

A holistic approach to wellness recognizes that a person’s body, mind, spirit, and emotions are all interrelated
and need to be continually brought into balance. Experiences which are part of the physical quadrant (e.g. insomnia)
also affect the other quadrants (a person’s mind, spirit, and emotions). How to achieve balance is on-going and will
be different for each person. A journey towards balance and wellness may involve self-reflection, connecting with friends, family,
and community, using a variety of community resources, and/ or seeking support from a trained professional.
